Our Food and Cookery curriculum helps students develop practical life skills and a love for preparing food. Students start by learning fundamental cooking skills and safe kitchen practices. They explore healthy eating, food safety, and the cultural aspects of food while gaining confidence and independence. These hands-on experiences prepare them to make informed choices and enjoy cooking as part of everyday life.
At KS4 level, students build on this foundation by working towards the NCFE Level 2 Certificate in Food and Cookery Skills, a nationally recognised qualification. This course develops technical skills and deeper knowledge of nutrition, food preparation, and planning.
