Mathematics

Our Mathematics Curriculum is designed to equip all young people with a secure understanding of mathematical concepts and their real-world applications. Through studying mathematics as an interconnected group of skills and disciplines, pupils develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills, learning to construct and follow a logical process by applying the techniques they have learned. We promote numeracy through regular practice, ensuring that all pupils leave prepared for the challenges of the modern workforce and further education. 

Learning is supported with a wide range of resources, including textbooks, digital tools, and mathematical instruments, allowing pupils to engage with mathematics progressing through concrete, pictorial, and abstract methods. Throughout their time at school, pupils will work both independently and in groups, with regular opportunities to reflect on their learning. Those who need additional support benefit from targeted interventions designed to build confidence and improve key skills.
