The Humanities curriculum brings together the disciplines of Geography, History and Religious Education, helping pupils understand how people, places and beliefs have shaped, and continue to shape, the world around them.
Through an integrated approach that draws meaningful connections across these subjects, pupils develop a coherent understanding of the past and present, exploring how historical events influence geographical patterns, how cultural and religious traditions shape societies, and how all three disciplines interact in today’s global landscape.
Geography
Our Geography curriculum challenges pupils to explore the forces shaping our planet and the lives of those who inhabit it. From the movement of rivers to the impact of global economies, learners investigate how physical landscapes evolve and how human societies respond to environmental pressures and opportunities. Through the study of diverse cultures and pressing global issues, pupils develop the critical thinking and geographical literacy needed to engage confidently with the world.

History
Our History curriculum invites learners to explore key developments across time and examine how the past continues to shape the world we live in today. Through rich content and inclusive teaching, pupils develop historical knowledge alongside analytical and evaluative skills, becoming confident, articulate individuals who can question, interpret, and draw meaningful conclusions.
To ensure our learners can access and succeed in History, we offer both AQA GCSE History and OCR Entry Level History. This maximises educational opportunities across the spectrum of ability, making sure every student has the opportunity to leave Teenage Kicks with a recognised History qualification.
