Safeguarding

Our school community has a duty to safeguard children and create a safe learning environment where they can grow. We take a whole-school, child-centred approach, ensuring that the welfare of every pupil is our top priority. This approach relies on strong collaboration between staff, families, and external partners, ensuring that our pupil’s voices and needs are at the heart of every decision we make.

We know that family life can sometimes be challenging and children or families may need extra support. Early help is support that is given to a family when a problem begins to emerge, before it evolves into a more serious concern. As a school, we may be able to signpost you to a range of services that can offer support beyond the educational setting, such as health, housing, family support workers, social care and local police.

Whilst early help services can be delivered to families, their main focus is to improve outcomes for children.

We hope that parents and carers will support us in carrying out our statutory duties to provide early help, working together to keep our students safe and well.
