In ICT, pupils discover how technology shapes the world around them and how they can use it confidently, creatively, and responsibly. Our curriculum gives every learner the opportunity to explore a wide range of digital tools from 3D modelling and multimedia editing to coding, robotics, and online collaboration, developing the skills they need to thrive in modern life and future employment.
Pupils learn how to think logically, solve problems and express ideas through technology. They gain hands-on experience with industry-relevant software, experiment with digital creativity, and build strong foundations in computational thinking. Just as importantly, they develop an understanding of how to stay safe, communicate respectfully, and make ethical choices online. By building digital responsibility into every stage of learning, we help our pupils become discerning and confident users of technology.
Across their time with us, pupils create digital content, produce videos, design posters, model objects in 3D, edit audio, write code, and collaborate through shared online platforms. These experiences prepare them not just for further study, but for a digital future where creativity, adaptability and critical thinking are essential. Many of the skills developed feed directly into nationally recognised qualifications in areas such as digital content creation, computer graphics and online safety, supporting pupils’ progression into technical pathways, apprenticeships or employment.
